What is Radon?

Radon is a common, cancer-causing, radioactive gas that seeps out of the soil. You can't see, smell or taste it, but it may be a problem in your home. The Surgeon General has warned that Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States today. The good news is that testing and remediation, if needed, is inexpensive and effective.

Testing takes only a few days and can set your mind at ease by proving that your home is safe for you and your family.

Laws will soon require that Radon tests are performed in all real estate transactions in New Jersey. Home Inspection by Dave always recommends testing your prospective home, and in the event one test is inaccurate, we always do side-by-side duplicate testing. This gives you the highest level of accuracy in the industry, giving you peace of mind, in your current home or in your home purchase.

If you plan to sell your current home, testing can eliminate surprises during your prospective buyer's inspection, slowing, or halting a sale. Be prepared by testing in advance!
